Linda Morrell is a Forensic document examiner and handwriting expert with over 34 years’ experience.
After completing her B.Sc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry and a Master’s in Forensic science she embarked on a rigorous training programme in the field of Forensic Document Examination with the Laboratory of the Government Chemist in London. Linda has given expert evidence in excess of several thousand times throughout the courts of New Zealand, Fiji, Supreme Court of Samoa, and the United Kingdom, including numerous times at the Old Bailey in London. On emigrating to New Zealand in 1996, Linda established her private practice which is based in Wellington. However, the bulk of her work and expert testimony derives from all around New Zealand and she regularly travels to inspect various documents and give expert evidence. Linda also runs seminars for various clients and their staff providing an overall view of Forensic document examination and the various services and types of examination she is able to undertake.
